In the 2nd Finals game of his career, MJ would produce the famous "Move". But how many remember that that shot was the 13th straight FG made in that game and an NBA finals record for most consecutive made FGs? MJ shot 15-18 for 33, 7rebs and 13asts for a most efficient game with the last shot coming in spectacular MJ fashion as usual. I remember when I saw it live, MJ was so good, I swore he did it on purpose to make the streak even more dramatic.

Out of all the GREAT seasons Michael Jordan had I would have to say 1991 was his best. He was just amazing in this Finals. He averaged over 30 Points, averaged over 11 assists, and made over 55% of his shots in the '91 Finals. Not to mention he had a 31.5 PER his highest of all his 6 NBA Finals.
During the regular season his PER was 31.6. He won NBA MVP and was selected to All-NBA Defensive First Team.

Actually 93' was his highest Finals average. He 41 points per game against the Suns that year. Shaq had a similar average against the Nets in 02'

Just viewing the numbers I concluded that it was a toss up between 1991 and 1993, with 1992 a little behind both. However then I took a look at the mpg to see which years he more efficiently put up his statistics. He played the least in 1992, and the most in 1993. Therefore I placed his 1991 statistics over his 1993 statistics based on the fact that he did them in less minutes.
Also jordan averaged over 11 APG while averaging over 30 PPG in '91 FInals. IMO that is more impressive than 41 PPG.

yeah. he averaged alot more points in the 93' series but he took ALOT more shots. He went 18 for 43 when they lost game 3. That 91' series was more efficient

lol like that cheap shot... Kobe is a good player, he's learned alot from MJ of course, also he has benefited from today's lack of defense. I just don't like the fact that he has tried to copy MJ's style, only one MJ he has yet to get this thorough his head even though he fails.

Kobe is an incredible player. Just the fact that his name is in this argument, is a huge accomplishment. Kobe Bryant is the best player of this generation. And if anyone displays Mike's influence the most, it's Kobe.
But...
Michael Jordan is the greatest player in basketball history. No one has matched him. No one. His style, his tenacity, his skill level and his ability combined to culminate the perfect player.
We all wanna be like Mike... even Kobe.

When he's been healthy, Dwayne Wade, just in my opinion, comes closer to emulating Jordan. He's had the 30+ ppg Finals series, Kobe hasn't. In fact, in Kobe's last two Finals efforts, he's shot poorly and hasn't dominated the series.
