Hi, I have had my turtle, Trixie, for about 17 years. Koopa looks like he is displaying Trixie's fascination for eyes. Does Koopa love to stare and shake his head at your eyes? Has he ever got ahold of your lip? I have a three-toed box turtle who is blind in one eye,and when I hand feed her,sometimes she gets my finger! Ouch!Really cute video!

Hi, Koopa is really cute...and fast !! I have an Eastern Box turtle named Woody.I've had him for over 20 years !! Koopa looks real heathy ! You might consider getting his beak trimmed down alittle bit though.Turtle beaks are like fingernails.He may grow that upper beak to a point where it becomes difficult for him to eat. For Woody I used a demel tool to sand and reshape it. It's not easy but he'll be glad you did.

Adorable! I agree with gorgo, this boxie could use some work done on his chompers, reptile vets can do it nicely, then maybe start feeding him some slighly crunchier foods.

How in the world did you train that turtle to raise up to you? It is such a cute video. What kind of turtle is it? Looks like it has some shell damaged on the front that has healed over, was it a rescue? Thanks for sharing!!

Not my video, but it is a box turtle, which I also have. Harder to take care of than tortoise (big desert ones) because they need 50%protein (worms, slugs, snails, etc.) and most refuse cat and dog food, unfortunately.

one of my three turtles did grab my upper lip once as I put my nose to her's. Terrified me - if I pulled away, would she tear it off? I crouched down to the ground to give her a chance to get back on the floor, and luckily she let my lip go to walk away. What a lesson (she was a grouchy type to begin with)
