I remember when this song was first released. We used to call it "The Grandma Song". LOL
As consumers of music, we need to remind our favorite artists that it's ok to make quality, heart-felt music like this. As back it up by supporting them when they do.
I'd love to hear more songs like this nowadays!

A confidant, savior, provider, friend, defender and most of all my grandma. If I can only give a day or even an hour of my life to my grandma, it will be worth every seconds of it. I miss my grandma so bad but I know she guides me wherever I go.

get it over her leaving me. and just when i

Nov. 1st of this year will mark the 10th year anniversary of my grandmuhma's passing. I was 10 years old when she passed and I've grown so much and accomplished so much. (eg. homecoming king, graduation, and now in college.) I wish she was here physically with me but I know and I feel her watching over me and I hope she's proud of everything I've done. I'm seeing my better days as I live and understand you have to be patient.

I am so glad to find this song on the Web!! The lyrics are so REAL you can FEEL them!! It's like you can almost see the child and Grandma talking. I had a lot of setbacks today, and I searched for this song, not knowing the song title or artist, just some of the lyrics. Yes "we are all moons in the dark of night. Aint no mornings gonna come till the time is right. You cant get to no better days unless you make it through the night." (forgive the double negatives..you know what she means)

This song is one that I would dedicate to The Barack Obama Family. His Grandma passed away today.
I hope the people that called the news of his "sick" Grandmother "a publicity stunt" - feel really great about themselves right about now.

The 106 year old woman was not his grand mother. I feel great about a Black President because now when Blacks in America tell their Children that they could oneday be president - it is no a lie anymore.
Racism is still like and well in America but the strugle for equality goes on.
Did you notice how the American media now calls Obama "an American that happens to be Black"?
It hurt some Americans SOUL to say BLACK & PRESIDENT all in one.

For the last time Barack Obama is Multiracial. He's not Black nor White, he's a man that happens to have a African Father and a White Mother which if you do the "math" makes him 1/2 African, 1/2 White. I'm a Multiracial person myself and I would never allow anyone not even the U.S. to dictate who I am, and throw me in "their" category.
