| I'm feeling the energy from all of your posts tonight. I saw Anita open for the immortal Luther Vandross back in 1988 in Pittsburgh and I fell in love with here that night. He voice, her songs, her interaction with the crowd and her stage presence were all mesmerizing. This is by far ny favorite sings of hers. A baby-making song if there ever was one, no doubt blisslouise (laughs)! |

| Autopsy, last night, after I read your post, I pulled up some stuff on the 'net. Seems she agreed to be the opener BUT they were both billed as co-headliners. After one show, Luther asked the crowd to thank "my opening act, Ms. Anita Baker." That apparently infuritated her and her management because if promoters thought she was an opening act it would drive her price way down. Years later, she and LV tried to bury the hatchet and he invited her to record a song with him but she never showed! |

| The song was the Remake of Donny Hathaway's and Robeta Flack's "I Who Have Nothing" and I'm still sick to this day Anita and Luther did not make that song... Although Matha Wash did a great job on short notice. Anita and Luther together would have been Legendary!!! |
