I think the general consensus among historians is that Von Richthoffen (the Red Baron) was shot down over Australian lines by Aussie machine gunner Sergeant Cedrick Popkins with a Vickers MG. He was buried by officers of 3 Squadron Australian Flying Corps (AFC) with honours in France.

is NOT inflammable, my bad, left that out. Most all WWI zepplins and ballons were filled with hydrogen, which is very flammable (inflammable means the same thing), now helium is used as it will not burn.

screw what the folks at IMDB say! i'll still see this. The footage looks great. WWI air combat has been sadly neglected in recent movies in lieu of space ships and jets but they did some incredible flyign back then.

I think this beats Flyboys. I'd rather fly in a biplane of WWI than a hornet today. Planes back then go like 90MPH, today they go so fast I won't notice the mountain! Could he seriously down a zep with a handgun?!

Blbost. Režisér asi nečetl příliš moc knih o Richthofenovi. :( Nikdy nedošlo k seznámení s mladou zdravotnici. A to že je válka špatná si uvědomil on sám nemusel jej nikdo k tomu dovést. Vždycky jsem doufal že bude o Richthofenovi natočen film,ale že bude takhle sprasený jsem nečekal.

Some of the CG aerial combat scenes were good, but as far as historical accuracy goes, this is one of the worst films I've seen. And even the air combat scenes have at least one mistake in them. RB and "Flyboys": nil for two.
