I'm demonstrating several different ways to crack a whip. I'm using a 6 ft nylon cow whip. The cracks demonstrated are:
1. Cattleman's crack
2. Overhead crack
3. Flick
4. Slow figure 8
5. fast figure 8
6. volley
7. snake killer/drum roll
8. coachman's crack
9. Tasmanian cutback
10. Singleton special

absolutely slick . is there possibly a "wise crack"? it may please you to know that in my youth i had a bull whip that would pop me more than anything else......kinda like the slingshot that fails and gets your hand or the band getting your face.... great video.....dare i get another whip....hmmm hat's off!

This video is great and I watched your other videos too! I have alyays wanted to learn how to use a bullwhip,and I bought one almost two months ago and got some good cracks, but now I think I can do better! If you haveany more tips I am always looking to learn!!!!!

Best thing to when first learning any new cracks is to wear a wide-brimmed hat and even sunglasses for your eyes. After that, it's kind of what is your personal tolerance level of pain. If you don't want to take some nasty hits, wear a long-sleeved shirt and some jeans. After a while, you become comfy, and as long as you respect the equipment, life will be good!

Love your bull whipping style-- it's been years since my 10' standard Westernaires (I assume cowhide) whip broke. I mostly did overhands, and some rimfire (I think you consider that the cattleman's) and I was learning how to whip while flat on my back but wasn't very good at it.
