Nick Hooks, you ... ( 1 year ago by kyleornick)
Nick Hooks, you must be the worst fighter I've ever seen in my entire life. If I were to have to choose between fighting my little sister or ten of you, I'd probably fight you because my chances would be better. I'm gonna go gouge my eyes out so I can't see this again. AAGhgh

Pathetic. Rule 1: Never spar flat-footed. I know it's a promotional test, but slow slow slow. tsk tsk.
First of all, I do ... ( 1 week ago by nhooks)
First of all, I do fight on my toes. This is 2years ago after nearly 8 years out of practice. I like to keep a scrapbook to see my improvement over time (watch the other videos I made). Second, flat footed isn't bad (you sacrifice speed, but you gain stability). Ever heard of Rocky Marciano? Considered by some to be even better at boxing than Muhammad Ali. He stumbled around like a clumsy caveman, but knocked out more opponents than any boxer in history! Third, read next comment...)
Third, a balanced ... ( 1 week ago by nhooks)
Third, a balanced fighter doesn't just fight on his/her toes. They know how to balance between flat footed and toes. Every fighting strategy has a place and time. At 130lbs, I often fight on my toes so I can outfox my opponent Superfoot Wallace style, then go flat footed so I can create maximum moving power in my shots. Sometimes I kick to keep them at bay while creating the opportunity to come in and use my hands. Either way, it's how I spar, get over it. Unless you have YOUR sparring footage!
That aside, you ... ( 1 week ago by jinglebearr)
That aside, you aren't a balanced fighter, your techniques themselves are poor, so even if you fight flat-footed, your technique and counter-skills are also very poor. I would not compare you to Superfoot at all, you aren't sneaky and from all your videos you telegraph, and have all kinds of pre-motion. You also fight very heavy, being light on your toes at least gives you an advantage at being quicker, which is what you need with your slow heavy techniques!
And comparing ... ( 1 week ago by jinglebearr)
And comparing yourself to Maricano is laughable, you are a small guy, you are not a powerhouse, so you shouldn't fight so slow. There is no excuse, this is not black-belt sparring.
I'm still waiting ... ( 1 week ago by nhooks)
I'm still waiting for you to prove me wrong. You can talk a big game, but can you back it up? You can theorize all you want, but can you put your theory in effect? Post some videos of yourself, prove me wrong, show me how much I suck in comparison to you. If you won't (or can't) then shut up and go preach to someone else who will listen to you.
You might be ten ... ( 1 week ago by nhooks)
You might be ten times the fighter I am, in which case, good for you! The fact that you have nothing better to do than go around and pick apart other fighters on YouTube is just pathetic, though. I pity you. Plus, it's easy to find mistakes in fighting strategy for everyone, it takes someone with talent, though, to find how to fix them and take the time to work on it. You're just a talentless, lonely, bored, insufferable "know-it-all" who wouldn't know good strategy if it kicked him in the face.
Your ad hominem ... ( 1 week ago by jinglebearr)
Your ad hominem attacks on me only further prove your inability to accept the fact you are a typical third-rate black belt, one of those factory processed weak and talentless hacks. I don't need your pity, if I was already the one who pitied you, for people who have no class to flash up their videos on youtube is a disgrace to the martial arts, especially those trained in a Mcdojo. I do not pick apart fighters, I pick apart those martial artists that disgrace the art they practice.
The only way for ... ( 1 week ago by jinglebearr)
The only way for you to be proven wrong isn't from a video. Maybe you are better than your videos show? I doubt it, the only way would be to actually compete, and not in some little tip-tap point sparring match, and actual ITF sanction continuous sparring match. As well, you strike me as those with a poor grasp on philosophy being the prove this, prove that type, in order to take martial arts I believe one has to be an abstract thinker, as oppose to a follower, of which you are the latter.
Although I have ... ( 1 week ago by nhooks)
Although I have much respect for the ITF and what General Choi represent, using their continuous point fighting format is not a good representation of fighting ability. Niether is stop-go point fighting. I still stand by my original argument. You keep telling me how bad I am, but you fail to explain how. I telegraph, sure. But so does everyone else. Am I telegraphing by preloading my hips? Am I prepivoting my foot before kicks? Are my eyes leading you to my target before I strike?
Finally, as far as ... ( 1 week ago by nhooks)
Finally, as far as trolling is concerned, I can play this game just as long as you can. I don't get worked up like most people, rather, I relish the opportunity to beat you at your own game. I noticed you believe that you know everything, because you know you know nothing. This is good logic, but not flawless (like many quality martial arts!) I know almost nothing, which is more than nothing, and in the world of the blind, the one eyed man is king. Your turn...
