Wow dude. Ok let me make in simple for u first grader. U played as Naked Snake In MGS3 and after that (The end of the game not MGS4) He kills the boss and is now known as Big Boss. Naked Snake=Big Boss. And I no I have MGS4.

1) u play as Solid Snake, who has grown old.
2) by at the end of mgs4, if u mean antagonist of the game then its liquid ocelot - revolver ocelot whose body has been taken over by liquid snake. though, there have been a reference to a guy in mgs4 being the real big boss... but i m not sure.
3) solidus snake is the third clone that liquid or solid did not know about. His identity was kept top secret. though, he was defeated and killed at the end of MGS2.

Get a PS3 With MGS. Halo is short and like the others. The lvl in the end is a pain and will hurt ur head. MGS is better than Halo. MGS also brings MGO.

Well, MGS4 has an awesome gameplay... to enjoy that u dont need mgs1-3. &it has somewhat engrossing storyline on its own but if u know the background thn it wud add value to it. so gettin mgs4 is definitely a thumbs up... but if u get mgs1-3 also then its two thumbs up ;)

umm at the very end cutscene of mgs4 a guy with a beige coat comes and a big conversation happens abt the patriots and stuff between him and snake....i used to be sorta sure that he was big boss....and also all the pics i see of him,it says big boss under them,so thats the guy am talking abt

to people buying this game as a first game i would suggest against it. this is an awesome game but you would need to play the previous ones to actually understand anything. plus the gameplay is very technical and make take a long time to get used to if u havent played the previous ones.

According to the Canon of Snake Eater, The Boss and Big Boss went their separate ways on June 12th, 1957 - the same date as the worldwide game release date of Guns of the Patriots in 2008 and the release of the original Metal Gear Solid in 1998.
