I dont think that the Mon Calamari ship actually had time to fire if you think about it logically. cause the crew would have to run to the turbo laser and ready it before shooting.. unless, well, they're Computer aided

Anzin - I believe all the guns are controlled manually with only targetting systems, not automatic firing. Still, the cruiser is done for either way - one MC-80 cruiser isn't a match for three Imperial II-class Star Destroyers - or so Wookieepedia says. :P

The Empire was bad-ass. And its obvious most of the Galaxy was okay with them. I mean, a galaxy with billions of people in it and the Rebels can only find a room full of people and, what, a dozen ships of people who hate the Empire?

I'm sure there are plenty of people who hated them. The thing is, those people were pussies and didn't want to mess with the awesome might of the Imperial Navy or the Dark Side.

Anzin94 was referring to the length given in the X wing games, which erringly (but maybe worked better for scale in-game maybe?) states ISD I/II length as 2km... Dunari's Casino is a space station from that same game...

I think the point of the Rebellion end game vids is to demonstrate how weakened by defeats one's flagship has become, besides the fact that in all the variants, the losers are effectively ambushed/suffer a surprise attack. Notice for instance how the Imperial SSD's support fleet has dwindled from at least 4-5 Star Destroyers to merely one when the Rebels attack. On a side note, these imperials in this video are in no small hurry to leave doncha think :D

I look at it this way: The Empire has the best ships and best troops. The Rebels have the most powerful Jedi Master in the galaxy.

Also I don't know if anyone else noticed but at 0:43 you can just see the corvette's wreckage to the right of the Mon cal ship, it drifts off downscreen (The bottom ISD jumps under it at 0:53) untill it ges off at 1:12.
