yeah a belt might help a bit but I don't like using one since it takes away from your core development. If you are worried about your back by all means you should give it a try.

Some people have backs which are naturally curved. Everyone's different, just look at your back from the side, and run a hand across it, and you'll realise what you are (Make sure you're fully posed) it's best not to stray from this form when you do Freeweight exercises.

could anyone please tell me why my lower back hurts when i am doing deadlift??
i will start lifting the bar up, and my back starts to hurt (i wouldnt say 'hurts', but it feels like my lower (not upper) back is doing the lifting work and not my legs - is this bad?!?!)

there could be a couple things that are happening... if you put a video up it would be more helpful
but maybe your back could be rounded and not strait
or maybe if you are new you arent used to the excercise motion because you will feel it a little bit in the back so im thinking bend your legs more and if that dosent help put a video and maybe it would be more apparent
