Most of the gas is abosrbed after a few seconds of hyperventilating it, it's really not necessary doing for the length that these guys. This video gives it a pretty seedy image tbh.

I love hippie crack. These brits are doing it wrong, though. I take a huge hit and hold it for as long as I can, then blow it out and immediately take another one. it's coming down off the second hit is when the real audio hallucinations hit and you begin to get the feeling like you now understand EVERYTHING.
I prefer to use a cracker and cartridges though. I have a beautiful red anodized aluminum one...

nah man ive done hippie for a while now and ive always done it like this but with bigger ballons n a few more canisters, its does just fine man, i saw a purple bulldog n freaked out, and another time i thought i was on the tube at camden tryin to get off but sum guy was in my way n wouldnt move with suggs camden town playin in te background lol, its almost like a dream but not. anyway i think it works better like this coz ya dont get any oxygen its just the nos mixin with carbon dioxide
