The mind does not calculate itself as implied here but rather external stimuli! Ones reality may not be EXACTLY what lies beyond interiority but this does not negate the fact that often we get things right and our opinions ARE true representations of the world outside us! The presumption that we are our own source is false! This is best demonstrated by the fact that all too often men are killed by the very un-immaginary external objects their minds have not created but rather merely percieved!

Are you kidding me? You call this a science? What you claim is impossible to test or measure. Science requires testing and reproducing the same results repeatedly. The things your group claims as results are untestable, therefore this is NOT a science. The only science you can demonstrate is that if you put together some videos and tapes with abstract ideas, it will inspire a certain percentage of needy, lost people to buy your products and look to you like you are saviors or gurus.

There are a number of warning signs that caution is advised.
Many of the things he says are true BUT...all deceivers tell partial truth. They tell truth (to win your trust) but also half-truth, lies and damn lies.
His web sites are very sophisticated, these videos are professionally made and he's getting famous very fast.
The truth simply doesn't spread that quickly.
*If* he endorses Sefer HaBahir, Sefer Yetzira, the Zohar and Isaac Luria he is for sure a crank.

He has an English site called Kabbalah for Women.
It is presumptous for a person to think they understands the essence of the being of other groups of people to whom they do not belong.
He allows himself to be called: "The world's foremost Kabbalist - the chosen one of our generation" on that flashy site.
No humble person would allow such a thing.
There are warning signs here. Please guard your Souls and heed them.
The Truth never presents itself as slick.

I agree part truths with twists, Im not a kabbalah expert but from just a few days of researching I lost interest, I could see the underlying intentions of steering you away from the true path of life. Also the reality part, he does not mention that reality is fake, everything you see is put there through controlled media, mkultra style manipulation, ideas of what life should be, keeping us from evolving as a whole basiclly a mass mind control of sorts. Anyway Im sure most would disagree.

This guy explains visual consciousness poorly, but he is basically correct. Don't misinterpret "Everything is within us." He should be saying "Our perception of everything is within us, we have no 'experience' of the world directly."
Pick up these books:
The Astonishing Hypothesis: The Scientific Search for the Soul by Francis Crick
The Quest for Consciousness: A Neurobiological Approach by Christoph Koch
You can't go wrong with these books in regards to science. They are not philosophy.

With that, these books aren't philosophy, they can inform philosophy, but they do not provide you with philosophy. Both authors explicitly state their goal is entirely scientific experimentation. They won't even define "consciousness". They simply recount the experimental evidence pertaining to consciousness and specifically visual consciousness. They have the odd philosophical musing, but nothing claimed as absolute truth, just hypotheses.

One thing that needs to be clarified here is that Laitman is not connected with the Kabbalah Centre that DOES sell $5 water, red strings, etc. The organization with which Laitman is affiliated is Bnei Baruch, and they don't sell anything, including any of their lessons, printed material, etc. Everything on their website can be downloaded, watched or listened to for free. Bnei Baruch is supported by its members and sale of Laitman's books that are sold for cost.
