How can one individual person see the reality? He can try but he only will see what he sees, not the reality. Is like religion, when a priest tell us that he is telling the true, because he knows reality, it's only the reality that the priest sees.
If Carling say's that hope is bullshit he is just giving he's point of view, not telling the true..¿See?, If he is capable to tell reality is maybe because he is a kind of god, how can he see the true? that's the stupid part...¿See?

It's the perception that the priest sees to be true. But unless you can back up a claim then that priest is full of it. You can have your own truth but you can't have your own facts. Everyone lives in a world of reality but they have different views. You have 2 kinds of people: the ones that live in a fantasy reality that which gives them comfort and the other ones that live in the "real world" as it is not as it could or should be. Usually when Carlin criticizes something he can back it up....

There are two kinds of people: The slaves and the free. I'm not talking about social hierarchy or what you do for a living. There are the greedy, prejudice and conservative. These are slaves, of themselves, cuz they will never be able to express themselves or be truly happy. The free are those who know who they are and reject all ideology and expectations of society. They just do good, and they don't care if anyone knows, or what anyone thinks. They care about people and nothing else.

Then it became dominant, telling what people should and should not do. And this day people actually think there is someone who listens to them and helps them through everyday. Silly really. To put the burden of living on someone else's shoulders and never questioning if it's necessary or exists. Silly.
