Everyone is complaining about the price but no one knows why it is so much. A little history, Maybach made a supercar with the tire manufacturer Fulda to prove that Fulda made the highest speed tires at the time. To gain publicity for the Maybach Mercedes decided to try again ala the Excelero. THIS CAR WAS NEVER MEANT FOR PRODUCTION! It was a one off that was made to mimic the original supercar, That's it! There was so much demand they had to release it. As far as the price R&D+Low volume=8Mil!

the car doesn't cost $8.000.000 ... it only costs around $600.000 ... the 8million dollars it the amount of money that has been used to create this car.., it's like the bugatti veyron.. that also costs around $5.000.000 to build... although it 'only' is being sold for around $2.000.000

And Developing the bugatti costs 5 million but each one doesnt cost that much to build.
