cells are alive too, but guess what, they die, why? because they're there to preserve life... and then they die, but they don't have minds and function as humans... they don't have souls and memories, fingers and toes... you're trying to compare a *part* of what creates a person, to the person itself... that's like saying if I'm growing a tree from a seed, and I kill off the dirt, i should feel bad.

It's an option to have control over your body. Maybe they could handle the sex, but what if the sex wasn't consensual? Like rape? What if the mother was going to die without a doubt if she tried to continue a pregnancy? Do you really think 2 people should die instead of one? I don't see any humanity in that.
A fetus doesn't have brain activity until several months into a pregnancy, so it doesn't have a mind until then. Explain how it has a reason.

It seems that since pro-lifers are against abortion because it's killing, they'd be against all killings. That's why I brought up sperm and an ovum up. They're alive, and they're part of us but we don't have funerals when they die.
In a lot of ways, a fetus is part of the mother. It feeds off of her, depends on her for survival. Kind of like how the tree you mentioned depends on the dirt. So no, you shouldn't feel bad. Like how a woman shouldn't feel bad for having an abortion.

I am against all killing, war is not justified, never am I ever to be a judge of whether anyone else should live or die, it is not my place... I am not better than anyone else.
a fetus is a person, we're a little more sophisticated than animals, animals were meant to be eaten for survival. a baby is not dirt. no comparison. a woman should feel bad, to justify her life over her babies when she is the one who made the mistake, not the child.

You can compare anything with anything, please don't hand me that. I never said a baby or a fetus was dirt, I simply compared them. And yes, you seem to judge whether someone else should live or die by taking away abortion. We all are.
And your wrong, she shouldn't feel bad at all. You said yourself that it's a 'potential life'. Having the potential to be a doctor doesn't give you a license, and having potential life doesn't make a fetus a person.

What about killing in self defense? What would you do if someone held a gun to your head and was determined to blow your brains out? Would you not fight back?
What about in courts? Someone killed 56 innocent people in the most painful of ways because they were bored. They court gives the death penalty. Would you be against it? Don't juries handle cases like that? As in citizens of the public?

I would be against the death penalty. Life imprisonment, no parole, fine. But we still have no right to judge who should live and die. And you say women shouldn't feel bad about having an abortion, yet many women who do are sent into spiralling deepression. Is this simply illogical thinking, or the fact that they know, deep inside them, that what they did was wrong?

Yes, I said that they shouldn't feel bad. That doesn't mean that they can't or sometimes don't. It would be perfectly understandable if a woman were to fall into some depression after an abortion, but it would also be perfectly understandable if she felt a huge amount of relief.
And it's not always that deep down they think it's wrong. Not saying that that's never the case, just that it's not -always- the case. Some regret it, some don't. Some get depressed over the what ifs, but don't regret.

How can you look at a 4D ultrasound and deny that's a person in there? That makes absolutely zero sense. You don't magically become a person the moment you pop out, it just doesn't work that way. Those babies have feelings in there, they can feel pain (this also is something that doesn't just magically happen at the moment of birth). Abortion is cruel and painful. If women don't want babies, maybe they shouldn't have sex. You learn sex makes babies in like fourth grade, no excuses.

It makes perfect sense. It isn't a person. Prove that you aren't a person the second your born.
A fetus can't feel pain until around 5 months have passed. 88% of all abortions happen during the first 3 months while 1% of abortions are done after the first 5 months.
Sometimes women don't want to have sex, but are forced to anyways. It's called rape.

'Approximately 5% to 30% of women report feelings of regret, anxiety, guilt, mild depression and other negative emotions.'
It goes on to say 'It is rare for a woman to become clinically depressed after having an abortion. There are some risk factors that can contribute to the risk of clinical depression after abortion, such as if the woman has a previous history of depression.'

If they weren't alive, they wouldn't be moving, smiling, sucking their thumbs, etc. in there. They look the same before and after birth, nothing changes except their place of residence. I have four children, I have had many ultrasounds. Are you saying my preemie born at 8 months gestation somehow had more right to live than a baby that age still in the womb? And approximately 2% of all abortions are due to rape or incest, the rest are from consensual sex.

Also even if someone can not feel pain, that is not an excuse to kill them. There are disorders which cause children and adults to not feel pain, that does not mean we can kill them and feel okay about it. And do you know what 1% of 1.4 million is? 14,000, that's 14,000 babies aborted every year that you have admitted did feel the pain of dismemberment.

That's the ones who were surveyed, which is not every woman who's had an abortion. And I actually know several women who have had abortions with no family or personal history or depression, clinical or otherwise, and they became depressed within a week of having the abortion.

Actually they can and do feel pain before month five.3D4D sonograms have helped non-biased research discover this.And pain or not ripping a human's limbs off(that's what abortion is,they dismembers the baby and crushes the skull to remove it)You can see graphic in detail photos of this online when you choose the image option on google and then search for pictures of aborted fetus at 10 weeks,any week really.I just say 10 because most clinics will not do one till you are nine to ten weeks along.
