this is an old folk song that's been around since before dylan was even born...dylan just reworked it and popularized it, similar to the way that Dave Matthews covered All Along the Watchtower...unless you are a dylan fan or are really paying attention, you wouldn't recognize it as a cover. Dylan did the same thing with the old folk song.
