so why is it that spike survives that crazy ass fall from the tower the first time he fights vicious but dies on the final episode?... i think he was too tough to die from the cuts he recieved but it did make a good ending i suppose. Thanks for posting.

Also keep in mind that prior to that fight Spike has to raid the syndicate, is near about 5 explosions, a bullet skims him in the head, etc. All that adds up. But yeah, I think it was primarily because it would make for a better ending.

Because he can only die when Vicious dies. Since vicious didn't die this time, he couldn't die. Logically this is impossible... but thats what made the ending better.
